NOBCChE Science Bowl
Initiated in 1989, the NOBCChE Science Bowl consists of middle school and high school students competing in teams of four. Challenge competition questions are based on an overall understanding of physical sciences (physics & chemistry), life sciences, earth sciences, engineering, mathematics, and Black scientists and inventors.
In 2017, students will compete in Junior (5th – 8th grades) and Senior (9th - 12th grades) divisions.
Regional teams compete at the national level during the annual NOBCChE Conference and STEM Week. Over 250 students participate annually. Each Science Bowl Coach is responsible for registering their team and emailing the necessary Parent Consent forms to the NOBCChE National Science Bowl Chair at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Registration is on a first-come, first serve basis. Teams who have not competed regionally can still compete at the national competition.
